Welcome to the North Lincoln Horticultural Society

The NLHS is an amalgam of allotment societies and gardening clubs that were located north of the River Whitham in the City of Lincoln.  Membership is open to all City of Lincoln allotment holders and gardeners in the Lincoln and surrounding towns and villages.

In accordance with NLHS Constitution, the organisation comprises a Committee of 12 members elected to serve for a rotating two year period and its officers include a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.  The Committee meet on the last Wednesday of the month with the exception of December.  The NLHS AGM is on the first Wednesday of April.  Each year the Society organise an Open Annual Produce and Flower Show, a number of social events and publish a quarterly Newsletter.  The NLHS is a member of the Royal Horticultural Society and the National Allotment Society.

The NLHS headquarters is at the Store(commonly know as “The Store”) located on the Clarence A Allotments.  The Store is open on Saturdays between 0900hrs and 1130hrs throughout the year with the exception of December.  The Store is run by Committee members and provides a wide range of composts and general gardening requisites; this includes seed potatoes, onions, shallots, beans etc and a discounted seed ordering service with Kings Seeds.
